What’s next?

sooooo much.

I need to finish the living room paint before the party next weekend! I was hoping to have a lot more done by then, but I need to focus on just getting that one thing done, I think. Other stuff has to wait now… oh well. Work is more important now anyhow.

Oh, and Vegas thisssss weekend. I need a weekend away. sounds stupid I guess, since I have only been working a couple months now… but, really being unemployed was not like a vacation for me. It was more stressful than having a job. I’m so grateful that I can reward myself with this little 2 day trip right now, and celebrate Sarah’s Birthday!!!! Is it Friday yet???????

Budoir.

I got my furniture for the bedroom!!! I am so in love with it. I originally set out to find pieces to paint, but I’m too happy with these. Paint would actually ruin them, I feel like.

yippeeeee! I Loooove craigslist. This all worked out so nicely. Thanks especially to my sister for driving with us to get the first dresser and night stands in her car. She is amazing for lending her time during the week. And then to the guy for dropping off the second dresser to us! so helpful…

RED.

Some photos from the work we did painting the living room a couple weekends ago…

Well, that was just the first coat. More has been done since. More pics after I get stuff hung on the wall, hopefully next week.

Strip House.

Seriously hoping the girls will be down to eat here when we are in Vegas next weekend:

Seriously, gets me a little choked up and makes my heart go pitter patter…

NOW, those are some GLORIOUS red walls.

Shooz.

So, after a day at work that left me feeling a bit blue, I went home to Jeremy who took me to Urban Outfitters to hunt around since it’s employee appreciation week and he gets his 40% on everything, sale and all!!!!! It was one of my favorite parts about working at Urban. I got a lot of goodies… let me tell ya. Sandals, a pair of flats that I am pretty stoked about, a dress and a few other things, and spent half of what I could have! Awesome. So, we go home. And I had been talking about these shoes on the website I had been wanting that were $198. Well, recently they were marked down to $99.99, and Jeremy had mentioned buying them tonight, so, I did!!!! I have been drooling over these shoes for a while now, I can’t believe I own them!! I can’t wait until they actually get here in 3-4 business days (had to get quicker shipping, so I can bring them to VEGAS).

Bask in the glory.

10942-966620-pI was feeling a little shoppers guilt afterwards… I really don’t usually spend $80 on shoes, thats how much it came out to be with shipping. Vut, I just got to work this morning and checked my bank statement and saw that my paycheck was deposited, and I no longer feel the guilt. I’ve worked really hard the past few weeks and actually got some overtime.

Hooray for Shoooooes!

Some stuff.

Got some painting done Saturday night after an amazing  dinner at Harry’s Hofbreau (Seriously, Thanksgiving dinner is August, so awesome). The Living Room wall is now RED. I do like the color, but it’s not complete and needs another coat to meet my satisfaction. I’ll work on a photo update.

I am desperate for a dresser, and some side tables.

I did get a little TV cabinet on Saturday for $20. thanks to Sarah and her Ice Cream truck for having the perfect amount of space to haul it over.

oh, ANDDDDD my 6 1/2 month old nephew is a lucky bro, just found out this morning, he will have TWIN siblings next March. Amazing. I am the most excited Aunt, ever.

Oh, the joys of employment… for real, though.

Notice the time. 1am, Friday evening/Saturday morning.

I just climbed into bed. Now 1am isn’t far off from my usual bedtime, But, I just got home from work about 30 minutes ago.
Straight worked 9am-12am, an awesome 14 hour day, with a break additional to lunch, that included a Chipotle delivery.

I do really enjoy work, well I’ll even venture to say I Love it, especially when I feel like I’m helping achieve something (or just making sure something works properly).

Oh, and, I was offered a Permanent position today.
It’s worth doing a dance about… don’t be shy, I did. Quite a bit actually.

COLOR.

Here are photo’s of the budoir….

Sorry if it’s too much for ya…. I’ve never gotten to paint before. I LOVE color! So, I might be going overboard. I gotta get my kicks when I can. Maybe, a day will come that I will decide to tone it down. I don’t see that day coming anytime soon. This is too much fun.

292This was the day I painted, just ignore painter’s tape . This shows the color well, since it was still daylight.

3793969139_d342b793e6A little more complete look, but at night.

3794795142_f6dff512f6I’m pretty stoked about how well this lamp shade fits in with the decor.

One more.

I’m having too much with the Architectural Digest website. I love seeing Hollywood stars at home, I love seeing Hollywood stars at all! I wish I was around in that era.

Gotta love that face…

Totally lagging.

I’ll work on getting photos of the bedroom (which is currently in works) tonight. We bought the paint color Friday night and got a little nervous when I saw how light it looked. (I’m new to the painting thing, I’m allowed to be confused) Anyhow, I got theat shit done all by myself Saturday Morning while Jeremy was working, with two minor mishaps (some paint where it shouldn’t be) nothing that can’t be fixed easily. And The color turned out great! Look for it later!

I NEEEEEED a dresser (and nightstand). My hunt is not going well :(

Here are some FUN photos, if you’re bored and love Hollywood as much as I do!

And, More John Wayne below, because this quote from his daughter, makes him my new hero:

“Dad loved to watch the kids get a kick out of it all; it pleased him to see happy children. He was the first one awake on Christmas morning because he took such pleasure in seeing children open their gifts. I remember he would pace the hallways at 4:00 A.M., and I thought it was Santa—but it was my dad waiting for daylight so we could open our presents… Funny, isn’t it? For a tough cowboy, he was the biggest mush-ball you ever came across.”
