Target.
So, I admit I have been a bit of a Judgy McJudgerson about the Anna Sui Target line. I feltĀ looked too cheap for the prices they were asking. I had came to this horrible judgement after only seeing the dresses on the Target website.
Today, I ventured to Target on my lunch break, and for the first time got a face to dress look at some of the line. I was especially excited to see that the 2 dresses I had favored from the website were still available close to my size. The Website photos do not do some of the dresses justice. I do still feel some look way cheap for what they cost, and am not a fan. But these 2 looked MUCH nicer in person. And I grabbed the last largest sizes available and headed to the fitting room.

Now, I’m unsure if it’s that this style of dress in particular is just NOT meant for my body type, or if I need to finally come to gripps with the fact that I really shouldn’t be shopping in the Juniors’ department at age 27… I think the dresses are very cute. But, there is no way I could wear them, nor would I care to spend the money on them… I realize they would be somewhat cuter on, with some opaque tights, or an blouse underneath. But, I still think I’d be reaching if I thought I’d look great. I am having an issue with the first dress. Because I love the tweed like fabric with the studs. I Love studs, period. But, I think it makes a great mix… sigh.
Anyway. I left the dresses with the fitting room attendant, and took this Mossimo sweater to the checkout line:

I’m really in love with it. I am pretty gaga over cowl neck tops and dresses currently, and I love grey, and the pockets! perfect.
Maybe I’m just not as daring as I thought I once might of been? eh.

I’m pretty sure you are darling.
Good choice! Those dresses are way too small, and hence make you look large, but that sweater looks perfect on you, classy with the black skirt.
