Dancewear.

Do you ever wish you were a dancer just so you could dress like one?

I do. I Love Dancewear. I do also wish I was actually a dancer for other reasons, like because I Love dancing. But, let’s just discuss the attire for now. I want to wear leotards and leggings, and tights with shorts and leg warmers and pretty skirts, oh, and POINTE shoes. I LOVE pointe shoes. I love square toe flats because of their resemblance to them. mmmmmmm, should have been a dancer.

Shopping trip to Capezio, anyone?

Bangs.

Got a little ballsy tonight and cut my bangs.

Before.

After.

I’m not sure what I was thinking, because I usually screw it up. But, I get the idea in my head, and I’m too impatient :/ Not that they are perfect, but I am quite pleased with them.  At least for now.

It just looks a bit cleaner. I like long bangs, but mine weren’t working they way they used to on me. I’ve been just pinning them back to get them out of the way and it wasn’t cute.  I also think shorter, straighter bangs make more sense with  my current assymetrical haircut. Also, when its necessary, I love straight across bangs with a ponytail :)

A favorite Artist: Miss Van

Polyvore.

Messing around with Polyvore a bit!

Kind of similar to what I wore out Saturday night. The skirt, top and shoes, at least.

Just a dream outfit.

I need that Jacket, among other things…

Find me on Polyvore

It’s so fun!

A headband for Sawyer.

First successful headband for my niece Sawyer’s little dome. I whipped up a quick one late last night to test it out. It fits!

Now, to whip up a bunch more (she needs every color, and every color combo!)

Felt models.

My sister and our good friend, Stephanie came over to swim on Saturday. They were into some of the simple flowers I had been putting together lately. So, before sending them home, I let them pick out a few colors flowers put them on a pin for them to wear how ever they want and, I snapped some pics really quick.

Sari loves her Ketchup and Mustard.

All my ladies are allowed to pick whatever you want, seriously. Sarah and Steph just happened to be over this weekend and got first pick.

Here is Steph, enjoying hers!

You’re lookin good from your head to your toe.

Some pretty parts to share.

Prom Queen Dress.

My sister and I went dancing to a old favorite lounge that was having their 5th anniversary party last night. Well, our cocktail waitress was wearing this super cute dress, and I was staring all night. Finally, Sarah just told me to ask her where it’s from, but I wouldn’t and just continued to admire. Later on Sarah decided to take it upon herself to ask her, she also snapped a picture of her from behind. (see below).

Turns out, to my surprise the dress is from Forever 21! Now, usually I would know this! I watch all my favorite online store regularly, daily! for new items. BUT, with my recent salary decrease, I haven’t looked at any of my favorite shopping sites. It’s been weeks. As soon, as we left the lounge, I got on my phone to look for the dress. (I was curious about the price, because I have a $30 gift card from Christmas still)

Prom Queen Dress.

I LOVE the look of the mesh and tulle fabric with the boning! boning! I love that it has boning for structure. And the chevron looking pattern on the bodice. Damn. I just love it. It’s so fun.

$39.80. I probably won’t buy it. I just can’t justify it in my current financial situation. So, I thought a little post in it’s honor might be nice therapy. I’m not even sure I could pull this style of dress off. I’m 5’9″ and I’m sure that’s enough for it to look awkward, never mind the fact that my weight is not really within Forever 21′s standards.

Side note: I noticed the sizes listed are 2-4-6-8-10. When did Forever 21 change there sizing? At least for Dresses? This is new, right? I’m curious to know if they go up to 12.

Romper beginning…

I cut out my pattern for a romper. I’ll start sewing it together this weekend. Let’s hope this comes out well!
