I've always loved moving into a new space.
Welcome to Stitches. Glad you found it. I wanted a spot separate from my regular blog for Crafting projects. I felt my blog was just getting too jumbled up and messy. I am starting to feel more organized now. yippee! I love that feeling!
On my list:
-Baby booties and Mary janes (still trying to master it.) Here is my best to show so far:
it’s a start.
-Friend inspired themed throw pillows (these, I’m having soooo much fun with) You’ll understand when I’m finished.
-Dresses! The simple ones… I found some cute fabrics last week during an AMAZING sale at Joann last week as a part of there Daffodil days promotion. Seriously, I spent 3 hours in the store… yikes.
-Rompers. Yes. During the 3 hours I spent at Joann last Saturday, I grabbed some patterns. (All McCall’s patterns were .99 cents! Seriously. I got about 6, 4 of which were $16 originally. I told you it was AMAZING) Needless to say, I picked up romper patterns. Tube topped and and 2 different sleeved styles, oh yeah and in. EVERY. Size. Every size available in McCalls patterns at least, 4-20.
-Smaller things like felt flowers for headbands, and rings! (I bought Blank ring findings! I’m excited)
I think I need to prioritize. Hmmm, what gets priority?
Chchchchchanges.
I’m moving allllll of my sewing/crafting content to a new page!
From now on, visit Stitches.Krustal.com!
Come on! It will be fun!
I will be keeping the content here for a little bit, until I can get some links changed on other sites. But eventually it will all be over there, and this will be left just for my blabbering. Hooray!
Felt Food Tutorial: Strawberries in a basket.
Here we go again, another felt food tutorial.
Today, strawberries! This one is also very very easy. You wouldn’t even need a machine for it, but I’m fairly lazy when it come to hand sewing, so i use it whenever I can.
Sky high!
I bought these taupe suede Barney New York wedges last year. They are the highest shoes I own. I may hurt something wearing them. I still have not yet worn them out of the house. I tried them on while having a fashion show in my bedroom the other night, and got really anxious get them on the town asap. I am so happy the weather is letting up and getting nicer. Time for Spring and Summer shoes!
A better day.
I apologize if I came off crabby in my last post. I was having a bad day, and I really didn’t want to introduce my shop that way. But, there’s no going back, now. So, time to move on and upward!
I don’t have much today. Haven’t been feeling particularly great, health wise in the past 24hours. I’m really hoping I can kick it quick. I hate feeling unhealthy. I will say that since my breakdown, I have been feeling better stress-wise. Nothing has really changed. I went out with some friends Tuesday night, probably should not have due to my lack of money. But, fortunately I have some really great friends who were willing to chip in on a couple drinks and some eats for me. I felt much better after that and the gym. Never under estimate the power of sweating out the ickies and having your friends there for you when you need them. I did need to get out and just chat and laugh.
It could be worse. I’m happy now. I’m excited to go to Step class after work, and possibly Kick Boxing after that (except I hate not having a buddy for that one). I get to pay my sister back from Tuesday and not feel wretched for borrowing it. I get to see Orbital tomorrow night with some friends. I get to take the beginner Hip hop class again on Sunday!!! and I have alllllll weekend to sew, and so many ideas up in my head that can’t wait to get out.
and to add to my joy, my sister in law sent me this a bit ago:
My nephew, Truman. Smiling! I have only eve seen him smile in his sleep before. I love this face. I want to go smile huge smiles with him for the rest of, well, forever. Can’t wait to see it in person.
Trying this Etsy thing out, and a link to a giveaway…
I have wanted to start an Etsy shop for some time, and what better time to start than now? Exactly. So, I’ve holed myself up inside my apartment quite a bit, and probably will continue to do so until I have a large amount of product that I am happy with.
I opened the shop today, with the most basic simple items I could whip up just get it started. But, I promise I have some great ideas in store. And every second I get to spend on it, I do (sadly my 50% salary cut does not come with a 50% work load cut, so I am still working full time). I love getting to do something I love and the hope that it will possibly turn into something profitable, even if it’s very minor. It is still very fun WORK.
So, check it out:
Please keep in mind that it is still very much a work in progress.
Also, I teamed up with Emily again this month for another giveaway. This month, Strawberries! Check it out, and enter to win!

Reviews & Giveaways: Have a BERRY nice day.
And now, off to the gym for my new favorite class to get some of the ickies out.
Lots of work, lack of money, trying this Etsy thing out, oh, and a link to a giveaway…
This week has begun particularly rainy, cloudy and gloomy. Very fitting with my mood. Tax day is Thursday, and I owe. Sat with a tax man to help me sort everything out, only to find out that I didn’t even have the funds to pay him to file for me. Sooooo, I have to go back tomorrow morning, after having to beg for money to borrow until payday, ironically on Thursday. Today has been pretttttttty gloomy for me. I was really planning on not needing to ask ANYONE for money throughout this mess I’m in. (losing a roommate and having to take on paying a 2 person lease on my own, my decision, yes, then realizing I will owe on my taxes, and thennnn my Salary being cut by 50%). This may all be too too personal. But, sometimes you just need to VENT! after each thing, I kept telling myself “I’ll figure it all out, it’ll be okay!” Always the optimist, I got hit after hit. I’m officially down on the ground. Hoping to climb back up pretty quickly. I’m sorry, I’m not hoping, I’m doing it.

first outift post.
Maybe I’ll try to do one or 2 a week. Let’s see how that goes.
This is from last Friday night. Sarah and I went dancing in San Jose with some friends.
I did my curls pretty well, I feel like. I was pleased with them.
and here is what I wore:
Hooded faux leather jacket: Forever 21
Long black ballet tunic: Target
Floral scarf: Target
Black wet look leggings: Marshall’s
Vintage flat Boots: Urban Outfitters (Urban Renewal)
and for extra fun! (and so I’m not totally alone my first time) Here’s what Sari wore:
Looking like a straight up pinup girl!
Halter dress: (I believe) Love Culture. I’ll have to double check.
Shoes: Nine West
New favorites
Really, into these blogs, I’ve discovered recently.
Just a FUN blog. Lot’s of outfit posts, which I LOVE! AND, it’s done by 2 friends (one in NY, one in Philly) so you get double the outfit posts. Such a great idea. Love these girls now. Go now, http://www.crowded-closet.com/
Discovered Rebecca from snooping the Wardrobe Remix group at Flickr.com. I just think shes so elegant looking. and I love her style. Url: http://no48.blogspot.com/
Another I found through the wardrobe Remix group. Maria is from Finland, and if you have Google Chrome it will translate her Finnish blog for you. If not, she even has an english language blog! Url: http://www.heijastuspinta.com/ or the original Finnish blog: http://www.heijastuspinta.fi/
On this note, I was thinking of taking my blog into a fashion, style, diy, sewing direction soley, rather than it being a bunch of random thoughts or thing I want. And it’s not because I think I have great style, it’s because I do have a lot of great clothes and I’m thinking it will motivate me to wear them more rather than worry about ruining them and leaving them safely in my closet. I do have quite a collection of jeans, and shoes, and so on. And, I just feel inspired to do so. So,I may give this a try. I may fail, and want to talk about other random shit. BUT, it is my blog and I can do that.
Please, don’t judge too much.
Vanity, nostalgia, reflection, _ fill in the blank.
Just a a little nostalgia for a Tuesday afternoon.
I was cleaning up my MySpace page, basically removing all content since I can’t fully delete it. And as I was going through my old blogs on there I started to regret it. I had a LOT of entries…I forgot how much I actually used that thing. Most of it was pretty silly and I just felt embarrassed reading it. But, a lot of my post contained photos of that time. Sooooo, I thought it would be fun to step back into the time machine today and share some photos of myself and my friends in the mid to lateish-2000′s. I know not even THAT far back. But, I can and will go further back another day… I was mostly just very entertained with the changes that I went through during that just over 2 year span, and thinking about the changes I’ve gone through since then. I do wish I had kept some of the writing that went along with the photos now, but, too late to dwell on silly mistakes. (besides, my live journal content is still safe). For now:
Sister Sarah and I after a friends band played at a local dive bar. March 2005.
Celebrating my girlfriend Lindsey’s Birthday at the BBC in March 2005.
