iphone Outfit post.

Got a little experimental.

I’m really happy with my outfit today, mainly because I whipped up this skirt last night while watching Boardwalk Empire (sweetness, btw. I Love Leo-looking Michael Pitt and his juicy lips…mmmmmm).I’m pretty proud of my skirt. The zipper is damn near perfect. And, I still do not have a zipper foot. Skillz?

So, I was dead set on documenting what I wore with my new creation. And I plan to more regularly do outfit posts, but I struggle, clearly. I usually get home from work past 7pm, and immediately throw on lounge clothes. I would love to get daytime outdoor photos and my sister and I are discussing ways to help each other out in that department. But, for today I just grabbed my trusty iPhone, ducked into the bathroom (classy, no?) and snapped away, and created a little montage. Fun times.

Skirt: Hand crafted by yours truly with fabric from JoAnn.

Shirt: Marshall’s

Scarf and bracelets: Forever 21

Belt: Target

Flats: H&M

Boardwalk Empire was awesome!! So glad Steve Buschemi got rid of that asshole wife beater! Looks like it'll be a good watch.

I love love love your style and really wish I could pull off the scarf look without looking like Im trying too hard…it looks perfect on you!

And…you should really show us how to make that skirt, it's amazing!!

    • ItsKrust:

Yeah, this one was pretty simple. I think I'll make up a tutorial. Good call.

Thanks! I'm sure I look I'm trying too hard in my scarves, but, I'm obsessed. Like to the point that I'm sure peeps make fun of me behind my back( I wear them in the summer, even). But, whatever. I LOVE scarves.

I'm so excited for more Boardwalk Empire. I can't remember the last time I began watching a series from the actual start, I'm glad I'm in the know from the beginning. And this show looks like it's going to get really good.

  • Harley wanted me to tell you that the stitching on Brett's cape was "solid" and better then most of the t-shirts he owns in his closet. I thought for a dude to point that out was pretty awesome. your skirt looks super cute. i'm so happy you're getting to do what you love mama <3

    • ItsKrust:

Wow! Thanks Harley! I feel like Brett's outfit was a bit shabby in areas even…. I had to rush some spots unfortunately. But, I'm so happy he wore it and was happy with it. I have pics of it to post!

I'm glad I'm getting back into sewing when I find the time. Thank god for Emily getting me to make her that skirt. I feel like that really helped dive back in, and then her letting me use her sewing machine (mine was crap). I do get a real high from it. It feels amazing. I've been needing it.

      • At work, my boss always tells me to be passionate about what I do in life. And seeing you so passionate about your sewing has been motivation for me to find something I LOVE doing. Lol. Hopefully one day you will be able to make a career out of this. I have no doubt in my mind you can accomplish it! <3

I don't know. I just wanted to get my outfit documented and all I had my iphone. I guess desperation sometimes produces results?
