Oscar Red Carpet favorites.

Jennifer Lawrence in Calvin Klein collection. I love the simplicity of her look. Minimal jewelry with the bold red. She looked gorgeous! Random thought: I really want to see “Winter’s Bone” now.

Scarlett Johannson in Dolce and Gabbana. I LOVE the color of this dress! The silhouette,  the lace, and the open back!  She looked awesome! I want this dress.

Cate Blanchett in Givenchy. I thought this dress was so rad! I’m not usually a fan of beading, but this was done really well. It looks like a work of art. I think she wears the colors really well (she may be the only person would could). Her adorable bob is the perfect simple hairstyle for it. Win in my book.

Week in iphone pics.

This week I; Ate delicious Mediterranean food with Mario, Wore a srunchy as if it were the 90′s ( I wear scrunchies regularly in fact I sort of hate elastics), Made my brother a kick-ass tool bag that he requested,  I braved the cold ( I know, I’m a wimp when it comes to cold), Ate a giant pecan tea cookie from specialties with a cup of tea while crafting, put my hair in milkmaid braids and headed to sinner to celebrate my brother’s 31st Birthday, Built a Lego Board Game (Minotaurus!), Ate a box of cupcake as if it were a box of chocolates, Smiled and laughed with my favorite people, Drank hot chocolate, cheered my brother on as he took a midnight Birthday whiskey shot, Played many rounds of Minotaurus, took my braids out and loved the waves they left behind, played “yayos” (legos) with my nephew!

Also noteworthy: I added new bags to the shop!, and I crafted a lot with Emily.

I had a great week with my family and friends.  While things in my life are somewhat frightening and stressful right now, I am so happy and grateful to have the support and love to back me up of everyone that I do. It means so much. And makes the stresses I do have worth fighting through.

Chance of SNOW!

Other than working on my twin niece and nephews big First Birthday party, I have been working on my bags and a few other treats and accessories on the way. Today, as I was out running errands and shipping some stuff I stopped to snap a few outfit photos (Since, I actually got dressed up! It’s been awhile) carrying a newer bag. I’ve been carrying it for awhile actually. I have just been awful at snapping photos lately. Trying to get on my game again, though.

Oh, also. I bailed on the 30 for 30, clearly. I am just not good at remixing. I still read the other remix blogs, I love them. I just cannot resist my other clothes.

Oh Hey, Tomorrow is Friday. AND tomorrow night, like super late night and into Saturday morning here where I stand there is a chance of SNOW! Snow. I might cry if it happens. I love the snow, and I haven’t been to see any in years at this point. I should mention that the most recent snow to remain on the ground in the area I live was on February 5, 1976. Wikipedia says so. I did see snow about 30 miles north of here once about 10 years ago. Regardless, if it happens, it will be minimal and I will be excited.

Craftin’ up some critters!

So, I suck at blogging even when I’m not working. I think I was better when I was working. What gives? Anyway, here I am. I have been hard at work with my Sister in Law, crafting up a storm the past couple weeks for my twin niece and nephew’s First Birthday party next weekend. She chose a woodland critter theme for the party like the day they were born and we have been brainstorming and getting inspired since. A couple weeks ago we started to really crack down and get to work on the decor. It’s been AMAZINGLY fun. The woodland critter theme has gotten me bananas! We have been having a ball making pennants, banners, and felt critters to throw and hang about. I’m so incredibly anxious for the party to come so we can DECORATE! Everything is so damn cute! I want to share it all, but it’ll be fun to reveal it all in party photos after the fact, I feel like. Well, how about a sneak peek?! Okay!

Fun times! I’ll post more after the party. Some items will be available in my Etsy shop after the party!

Heartstrings in grey! coming soon.

I have the tote ready for the Grey line of my heartstrings bags. The Messenger and clutch will be ready tomorrow! I grabbed it to snap a few pics of my boring outfit today. I’ve been fairly casual as I am home sewing all day.

Introducing Heartstrings.

So, I’m slowly making my comeback still. My energy level is just now starting to feel back to normal again, and my appetite is back with a vengeance! Hooray for health! I went on a nice walk with Lisa tonight that I really needed, and tomorrow I’m getting out on my bike for a quick break from work. After being couped up here for just a week being sick, I have been really itching to be out of here, so I have been escaping.

In the midst of trying to escape, I was able to crack down over the weekend and work on new bags! I am super pumped about these! There are 3 sizes, a clutch, a tote, and a messenger. All are made with heavy duck canvas cotton and lined with a lighter weight cotton. Each bag features a sweet heartstring design on the front.

As of now, all of the bags are made in a pretty Nutmeg color. Black and Grey will be available as well, and I will have those examples ready soon. heartstring colors are completely customizable. All the shopping info will be available very soon!

Without further ado:

I am loving the messenger!!!!! I carried it today. It’s so great and so sturdy, I had my laptop in it. I kinda rule. I carried the tote over the weekend, and I carry the clutch just about everyday at one point or another.

Ummmmm also. Sorry to anyone not in California… I hope these photos don’t make you too jealous. the weather is AMAZING here right now. Although, I still would like to enjoy some snow this winter, I’m so glad I live here.

On the Mend.

So, I have been pretty MIA lately. I’m trying to get back into the swing of things, but I still am not feeling quite normal yet, still. I started getting sick last Thursday with flu like symptoms, and it just got worse each day after, with Sunday being the absolute worst. I have gross, painful cough and my body is so achy and tired after even the most minimal activity. It’s awful. I hate being sick. I’ve been getting pretty depressed and bored over here. But, I’m hoping I’m at the very end of it. I can’t remember ever being sick for this long. And, not having health insurance doesn’t help speed things up.

With that being said, I woke up yesterday feeling somewhat normal, but still took it easy. Today, I ventured to the post office and to drop off a library book. I’m really ready to get moving again and see people! Today was a start, I suppose.

1/30:

Jeans: Siwy via Denim Warehouse Sale

Flats: Urban Outfitters

Scarf: Marshalls

I realize these pictures are sort of a joke. But, I just didn’t have the energy to try much else today. I’ll do better tomorrow :) This bag I made this morning after I finally found a little energy to sit at the machine and get some work done! I really love it. It’s navy canvas with tan vinyl hearts.

Better late than never, 30 for 30 picks.

M picks for the 30 for 30, minus 2 items. I will add them tonight hopefully.
