I am Kristina,  Krust, or Krustal.

I like clothes. I like shopping for clothes, and more recently attempting to make my own.

I started sewing as a young girl. My Grandmother, Aunt, and Mother all were avid sewers as I was growing up. My mother put me in childrens sewing and crafting classes at local rec centers and a local sewing shop. I watched my Mother sew quite a bit. She always made our halloween costumes and often time christmas dresses, as well as some of our bedding among other little projects. She was extremely creative. And it was always so fun as a child to have so many custom made goodies.

I probably have only sewed vary sporatically throughout the past 10+ years. But, in the past year have gotten very enthralled with the hobby again. When I lost my last job due the company being sold, I started to make felt flower headbands and various other felt crafts and openened an Etsy shop. I went on to make some clutch handbags and sold some gooides at a swap meet with a friend of mine. I went back to work a 9-6 desk job for 6 months, before being laid off again in January 2011.

It’s turned out to be a blessing in disguise. I started full force designing a line of handmade bags! I am building My Shop and creating my brand, Krust, and loving every minute of it.

My dream is to someday open a storefront, with clothes and accessories all handmade by me. I’ve created an amateur business plan and drew up how I would layout my dream shop (doodling and making lists and notes is way fun for me!).
