Black and Tan, Ruffled.

A somewhat new color combo for the Ruffle clutch! Black canvas with a tan Ruffle.  It’s perfect!

Check it out in the shop, HERE.

I wish my sister was willing to model more often. Come on! She always looks so great in pictures…

Sunday afternoon BBQ.

Yesterday was spent at a super fun park in Pleasanton celebrating my girlfriend Laura’s Birthday. It was a great day. Sunny and breezy. There was an Easter egg hunt for the kiddos, good BBQ food, and sweet treats. I am always in a great day after days like this.  I was extra chipper all day afterward.

A peek at just a couple pics I snapped during the party.

Happy Birthday, Lolo! Thanks for a lovely Sunday afternoon!

The Stylish Housewife Clutch, aka the Doily Clutch.

More Spring clutches! This line was inspired by an idea suggested to me by fellow 30×30 remixer and lovely fashion blogger, The Stylish Houswife. Ah, you see where I got that clever name for this fantastic clutch, now? I was looking for a challenge one day (As I always am), and decided to ask some fellow tweeters for a good challenge. Well, this was one of those challenges. It took me a while to perfect it. And, I finally feel that I did. And now that it’s done, do you not agree the “The Stylish Housewife” is not the perfect name for it. I hope she doesn’t mind me calling it that. Also, I hope I completed her challenge well, and she likes it…

I really love this clutch. I’m ridiculously proud of how they came out. The construction is tops! If I do say so myself. And while they are so dainty and pretty, they are really darn sturdy! I used cotton canvas fabrics and stabilized them with a sheet of heat n’ bond interfacing. There is also a layer of felt in between to add extra stability and a little padding for more fragile items.

See all the bags in full detail and shop them in my Etsy Shop!

Outfit pics featuring this clutch are coming tomorrow. My sister will even be modeling one, as well! I finally got her to agree to let me use her for her beauty to sell my goods ;) She’s denied me the past 10 times I’ve asked her.

Week in iPhone photos

I enjoyed daylight savings! Made my sister in law a Birthday gift, was sang to by a Dean Martin impersonator, Played with my nephews, Made some festive St. Patricks day brooches, Had a cocktail or 2, and built  a questionable Happy Birthday sign out of Legos with my niece and nephews for my sister in law. I twas a good week! But now, on to the next one!

And, I’m off!

Oh hayyyyy! It’s Friday! And I got up earlier than normal today, and I feel great. Really, I got make that a habit. It’s nice to be able to take your time getting out of bed and getting ready for the day. It’s not even 9am and I’ve done dishes and taken out the trash! I don’t even know who I am right now! Anyway, I’m off to continue to get my day started! It’s going to be a GREAT one! It’s Emily’s Birthday!!!! But, more on that later…

I carried my black crossbody bag Wednesday and yesterday! LOVE this bag.

Green!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

I made those 4 clovers for Lisa and her coworkers to wear at school today. She works as a secretary at catholic elementary school, and I guess the clover is extra symbolic to them. I was really excited when she requested them from me! I love that people come to me with craft project ideas. It makes me all warm and fuzzy. I <3 my friends.

I’m having a pretty normal day so far. The other, more obscure picture is what I’m working on today! Coincidentally it’s GREEN! so I wanted to attempt to share it without giving it away… Since it’s a gift. I’ll be sure to share pics later, because it’s pretty great. I’m quite proud of myself so far.

Also! Tonight, I get to go to The San Fransisco Academy of Sciences for their Thursday night nightlife party. And tonight is a special event for St. Patty’s Day! I can’t wait!

Sick day.

This post is going to be boring. I have no pictures to share from today.

I went to bed last feeling a little, eh. I woke up today feeling defeated. I either have an ear infection or the flu. I wish I had a cold :( but, no. Instead, my entire body is useless. I’m like and old lady. Lots of aches and when I move to fast it’s worse. boo. So, I sat in bed all day and worked on some necklaces! I hoping tomorrow I have some more energy and can get to work on some wallets.

I did a Project Restyle this week, but It’s not that impressive. Maybe I’ll share it really quick in a separate post. I already finished one for next week that I’m excited about getting photographed! I only have before photos now.

I’m thinking about joining Kendi’s 30 for 30 challenge again. I realize I failed during the Fall challenge, but I’m feeling like it would be really fun to give another shot! And, I won’t be shopping anyway. AND, I already have 2 newish pairs of shoes from a while back that I’ve never worn that will be fun to throw into it. PLUS, I’m home MAKING accessories to spruce up any outfit! Decision made. I hope no one holds against me that I didn’t finish last time.

Day 10: Cherry on top.

Happy Wednesday! The week is already half over! Weeee. Tonight I get to watch Dateline: A Royal Love Story, and a new Law & Order: SVU. I’m pretty pumped for TV tonight. Even though my childhood and teenage dreams of  marrying Prince William and becoming a princess are now officially shattered, I’m super excited to watch all the excitement coming up, surrounding the royal wedding next year. Kate Middleton is such a classy lady and I love that William gave her Princess Diana’s engagement ring. Very special and very sweet. Anyone else pumped to watch all the excitement? Surely, most ladies my age are.

I have all kinds of designs and ideas looming in my head today for various sewing projects. I started jotting them down on a notepad that I have here. I really wish I had time to work on these things when I get these surges of motivation and creativity. But, it almost ALWAYS happens while I’m at work in the middle of the afternoon.  And I can’t very well get up and go sew. Maybe someday…. Hopefully, the surge lasts long enough for me to get home in about 4 hours and get to it. We shall see.

I Love the red top I’m wearing today. I had never worn it before, and It was added to my remix pieces late. I actually switched a pair of flats out for it. And, I may be making 2 more switches of items I have not yet worn, and likely will not. Will update that tonight. I made a few poor choices and I am seeing that now. I guess I’m not cut out for this. But, I’m going to make a switch or 2 tonight and keep trucking through it. Because, really I am having fun with it.

Top: Forever 21
