I got my first Tattoo when I was 18, at a Tattoo and piercing shop in San Francisco on Haight St. at Cold Steel America. The guy who did the Tattoo wasn't the most pleasant person, and I was young and stupid. Who isn't at 18 getting a Tattoo on their lower back? It was my Horoscope sign. I'm a Canceer so, it's essentially a horizontal 69. Again, young and stupid. I have an extremely low threshold for pain and apparently squirmed a bit while having it done, this is why, that tattoo artists said, that it is raised off my skin. Like you can feel it if you run your fingers over it, something about scar tissue, I guess. Whatever, I enjoyed it for a hot minute and a few years later went to have it covered.

I went to the same shop, but this time was tattooed by an artist I actually enjoyed as a person. I didn't get anything very artistic, but I believe he is also a good artist. I had a pretty huge crush on this dude ,as well, I might mention. Brian Hutflies. As He tattooed me, he blared Kittie on his boombox. *swoon* I happened to love Kittie. It was my first enjoyable tattoo experience. I'm not positive what age I was.

Years down the road, I wanted something done to it, i was bored with it's big dull blackness, and I had Hudge at FU Tattoo add some stitches around the edges. basically it's supposed to look like the patch of skin was ripped off and sewn back on. Not sure why. In hindsight, I should have just left the star plain and big and black as it was. I would be happier with it today. Hudge thought I was crazy when i asked for it. I should have listened to him. Seriously. Listen to the Tattoo artists. They know.

I'm thinking about doing something more to it later. I'd like to just have an entire back piece, and I could just throw shit all around it, or have it removed all together :/ Who knows what the future holds.

Around this era, My Sister in Law, Emily and I went and got matching tattoos. Heart and crossbones on our hips. We got them slightly different styles, but they look very similar. Fun times. I heart my Emmie. hearts and bones 4 eva!

I have some starts and a purple heart on my left wrist. It started as just one solitary little star outline, that i went and had done with Emily and my Brother on a whim. I just wasn't thinking very creatively clearly. A while later, a friend of mine was visiting San Francisco from Orange County, while her boyfriend was working a Tattoo convention. We went to hang out at the convention, and I mentioned I wanted to get something done, and he told me to sit, and asked me what I wanted. He just banged it out hella quick, and didn't charge me. Super cool dude.

On my Right wrist I have a Teapot. I Love my Teapot. It was done by Hudge at FU Tattoo. I brought him some Mary Englebright stuff to give him an idea of the style I wanted. I grew up drinking tea, and having tea parties, with my Mom, aunt and Grandmother.  My whole family is big on drinking tea, and well, teapots are just darn cute. <3 my teapot.

On my upper back, between my shoulder blades, I have my dolls. Done by Hudge at FU Tattoo. I LOVE my dolls. I have a drawing that my Grandmother drew of my Mom's dolls and stuffed toys that were on a shelf in her room as a child. So, the idea was copied from that. I grew up playing with dolls. I was and still am a total Doll nerd.  I had brought in photos of my favorite dolls. One was a doll I loved and played with as a child, some Madame Alexander and Ginny dolls, and various old vintage dolls I love. and he came up with the 3 that are now in the tattoo.

I always joke the oine in the middle is storing food for winter. She's a chunker. <3

I need to finish the living room paint before the party next weekend! I was hoping to have a lot more done by then, but I need to focus on just getting that one thing done, I think. Other stuff has to wait now... oh well. Work is more important now anyhow.

Oh, and Vegas thisssss weekend. I need a weekend away. sounds stupid I guess, since I have only been working a couple months now... but, really being unemployed was not like a vacation for me. It was more stressful than having a job. I'm so grateful that I can reward myself with this little 2 day trip right now, and celebrate Sarah's Birthday!!!! Is it Friday yet???????

yippeeeee! I Loooove craigslist. This all worked out so nicely. Thanks especially to my sister for driving with us to get the first dresser and night stands in her car. She is amazing for lending her time during the week. And then to the guy for dropping off the second dresser to us! so helpful...

I was feeling a little shoppers guilt afterwards... I really don't usually spend $80 on shoes, thats how much it came out to be with shipping. Vut, I just got to work this morning and checked my bank statement and saw that my paycheck was deposited, and I no longer feel the guilt. I've worked really hard the past few weeks and actually got some overtime.

I am desperate for a dresser, and some side tables.

I did get a little TV cabinet on Saturday for $20. thanks to Sarah and her Ice Cream truck for having the perfect amount of space to haul it over.

oh, ANDDDDD my 6 1/2 month old nephew is a lucky bro, just found out this morning, he will have TWIN siblings next March. Amazing. I am the most excited Aunt, ever.

I just climbed into bed. Now 1am isn't far off from my usual bedtime, But, I just got home from work about 30 minutes ago.
Straight worked 9am-12am, an awesome 14 hour day, with a break additional to lunch, that included a Chipotle delivery.

I do really enjoy work, well I'll even venture to say I Love it, especially when I feel like I'm helping achieve something (or just making sure something works properly).

Oh, and, I was offered a Permanent position today.
It's worth doing a dance about... don't be shy, I did. Quite a bit actually.

Sorry if it's too much for ya.... I've never gotten to paint before. I LOVE color! So, I might be going overboard. I gotta get my kicks when I can. Maybe, a day will come that I will decide to tone it down. I don't see that day coming anytime soon. This is too much fun.
