Heart Collector Messenger!

I have a new bag to debut!

It’s a messenger style shoulder bag with the Heart Collector desgin. Sooooo cute, right?! I am in LOVE. Literally.

Go get it in the shop, HERE.

This first one is going to my girlfriend, Stephanie. She actually ordered it a bit ago.  And now that it’s ready, I don’t realllllly want to give it up! So, I had to take outside to model it just for a second… It will be hard to let go.

It’s okay. she can have it. I just started making one for myself anyway. Maybe, black hearts though?

Black and Tan, Ruffled.

A somewhat new color combo for the Ruffle clutch! Black canvas with a tan Ruffle.  It’s perfect!

Check it out in the shop, HERE.

I wish my sister was willing to model more often. Come on! She always looks so great in pictures…

The Lisa special.

These 2 new clutches were made with my girlfriend Lisa in mind. We celebrated her Birthday over the weekend and I wrapped these as her gift. Lisa is a big fan of the Yellow and Gray color combo. As am I. She had actually already ordered the ruffle clutch, but as her gift I threw in a striped clutch she had mentioned in passing earlier last week. I wrapped them together to kind of juice up the whole gift and well, they just complimented each other!

Pretty great Summer colors! Find both of these new clutches in the shop, NOW!

Week in iPhone #10

Some of this past weeks happenings include: Getting ready to get my hair chopped. Sitting under the dryer at the salon for my highlights to set in. New hair! New heart zipper tags!!! More new hair and driving around to ship packages and get fabric, the usual… Playing lego Star Wars with one of my new Thursday, Friday afternoon buddies. Relaxing in the grass while my buddy jumps it up in his bounce house! (Wish I had that as a kid). My gorgeous niece Sawyer, being gorgeous. My new Vintage wedding dress pattern!!!! Can’t wait to get to play with these!

That was just a glimpse of my week. I also celebrated one of best friends Birthdays, watched my business grow, and worked a lot! Ate a lot of good food, spent time with friends and family. All in all a good week :)

On to the next one…

Week in iphone #9

I decided to start numbering these posts. I counted back all I could find, and I think I am on #9!

I had a pretty great week. I worked extra hard with a few later nights Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. And did a bit of relaxing in between.  I continued to enjoy this amazing weather we have been having and sat out by my pool Tuesday and Friday afternoons, and  did some late night swimming even on Wednesday when it was warm out. I Love nighttime pool time on warm nights. I took some walks and relaxed in the grass. I was short on cash this week and couldn’t drive much (Gas is ridiculous) So, I improvised and was lucky enough to have some friends come to me :) . It appears as thought I put up feet up alot. I suppose I did. But, I worked hard too. And sometimes after a full day of standing while cutting fabric and  ironing, with short stints of sitting at the sewing machine, putting your feet up at the end of it is necessary. Not that I am complaining. I am grateful for my achy feet at the end of every full day of work here!

I watched the Sharks really battle it out in their current series against the Red Wings and lose 2 games in a row after winning 3. But, we are still ahead by one, and I am confident and excited they will make it happen in Game 7!  Go Sharks! And, of course I laughed and played with my niece and nephews. Some of my most happiest moments are spent with those kids. It’s hard not to just feel overwhelmed with joy around them.

Hope you all had lovely weeks! And on to the next one…

Week in iPhone pics and a lot of words too.

This turned out to be a long one. It was an eventful week!

Roundup of my week in i Phone pics.

My new Gingher rotary cutter came in the mail and I got to test it out! Works like a charm. More on that later. I babysat and played with mega blocks. I braided my hair. I ran lots of errands. My nephew and I built a hockey player out of duplo legos while we watched The Sharks beat the Red Wings! that’s right! I cut out some hearts! I giggled at my sister’s cat Lola and her random relaxing positions. I put together a heart collector messenger! (Coming to the shop this week!) I ate some AMAZING chocolates.

Other notable happenings this last week:

Lisa took the train down to work with me for a day. It was really nice to collaborate on some work stuff with some one, and to get in some always needed girl chat. Planning a replay of that day for Tuesday.

I watched the Royal Wedding with my Sister in Law. Live. Yeah. I went to her house on Thursday evening, and we got Starbucks at like 9pm, killed time organizing legos. Got amped watching pre wedding stuff. Drank Prince of Whales tea! attempted British accents. Anxiously waited to get a glimpse of that dress! Stayed up until 5. And I eventually drove my butt home to sleep for a few hours. It was a lot of fun. I definitely dreamed of Marrying Prince William as a young girl and a teen. I think he’s a total fox, regardless of his hair loss. Ilove watching interviews and hearing him speak, he seems like such a gentleman. I am super happy for him and his gorgeous bride. I Love a good Princess story, and I REALLY LOVE a real Princess story <3.

I went to a chili cook off! Some family friends were competing and hosting the event. It was a lot of fun. This was the 2nd year of this particular cook off and it’s at a pretty great venue. It is in Pescadero, right on the coast. And while the drive is long, it’s quite gorgeous. I have been fortunate 2 years in a row to ride passenger (spoiled), so I just admire the scenery along the way. Also, it is down the road form a bakery where they have THE most amazing Artichoke herb french bread. Fresh baked, like by the hour. Seriously they are restocking constantly with hot fresh baked loafs. It’s one of my favorite times of the year now. Going to the cook off to see my friends and then walking to get THAT bread. AND My buddy John and his son Ryan Won first place in the cook off. Of course. John’s chili is always the best.

Kelsey posted an outfit on Monday AND and outfit on Thursday sporting her Heart collector clutch! She looks amazing and it made me giddy. Love her. She is also hosting a GIVEAWAY! So, go enter to win your own! duh. <3

Mandy posted an outfit for Steppin’ Out Saturday where she is rockin’ her grey Doily clutch, looking all kinds of gorgeous with her red lips. Seriously, I need to try the red lips more.

Nicole posed an adorable outfit and showed off her Black Heartstrings messenger bag and talked about how much she loves it and it’s functionality. She’s really putting it to the test riding her bike to work with it and everything. Perfect. I have quite the army of Quality Assurance tester and I LOVE it.

And these are just fromSunday. I had a mini vacation. At home. Well, it felt like a vacation at least.

Lisa, Steph, and Caro cruised over and along with my sister we all went and sat by my pool. We walked to Safeway to get delicious sandwiches. I got some color (not all tan unfortunately), and dipped in the pool. It was great. I don’t use the pool here enough I feel like. It was nice to have peeps make the trek to my neck of the woods to chill for the day. It always makes me really happy. I do love my building and it’s fun to share the grounds and amenities here with my pals when I can.

And now, ready for a busy week ahead! Seriously excited. Lot’s of fun stuff happening this week. Including an order of clutches for bridesmaids in a WEDDING. For real. I am PUMPED. Pretty much makes my year.

What I <3 Wednesday.

I recently stumbled across Lollipops. I  love discovering other creative people on the web to get inspiration from. (Also, LOVE how her name is spelled).  Fun stuff. I Love the What I love Wednesday posts. And had the perfect post to contribute. In my opinion at least. because I’m so obsessed right now.

What I LOVE: 70′s dress patterns, (and a few capes)

Over the weekend while I wan hanging out with my Sister in Law, she had mentioned she wanted a very specific style dress to wear to a friends wedding that we are attending in September. She had it all pictured in her head. Well it sure sounded that way. I believe the description was something along the lines of above knee skirt, aline shape dress with long balloon sleeves, and a modest neckline. Solid colored fabric with  a sheer overlay, with the sleeves only in the the sheer fabric only. She’s always been a 70′s child. I’m pretty sure the first  time I met her she was wearing bell bottoms, and ALWAYS had the craziest STACKED platforms. Well, we started to chat about constructing this dress vision she had, and at some point I decided to search for some 70′s dress patterns to use or get design inspiration from. Well, after sifting through a good 2,000 + patterns we had started a bit of a collection on Pinterest. I am now more obsessed with some of these styles of dresses that I was thinking I’d be. I want to make myself (and Emily) a nice collection of 70′s reproduction dresses this year. I can’t wait! I love it all, the sleeves, the ruffles, the necklines, the waistlines. Going to make some LOVELY stuff to wear.

AMAZING.

Fabric shopping for this is going to be so fun.

And we are off…

This week is off to a pretty great start.

Doily clutches in Tan. In the SHOP.

My Monday was pretty productive! I got an early start. I tend to start later and work into the night. But, today I was out of bed by 9 and started getting things done almost right away. I worked to finish a few orders and sent some bags out. It was great that I got the early start since I had a dinner and movie date night planned. Saw Insidious. That was some intense stuff. yeesh. Who am I kidding, I LOVE scary movies. So, the intenser, the better?

I’m pretty excited about today. Lisa is taking the train down to my neck of the woods to work with me! I Love having makeshift coworkers for a day. Lisa volunteered to come cut fabric and hang out. Lisa is being given a sewing machine and wants to learn how to sew some home decor stuff, so it’ll be fun to have her to sew with and maybe learn some new things together. Tomorrow we have some fun things planned:

- Starbucks run (first and foremost)

- Prepare fabric for a few bags I have on my list to make.

- Test out my new Gingher Rotary cutter!

- Work on a few clutches Lisa and I have discussed previously.

- Eat some sort of yummy lunch.

- Break time in the Hot Tub.

That is the plan for Tuesday! Should be a nice day. I can’t wait. On that note. I’m going to sleeeeeeep. <3

My Leese, and her Easter stripes.

Lisa had something to do with this bag coming to fruition. She has a lot to do with a  few upcoming designs too. She’s a thinker! Lisa mentioned she had liked the original striped clutch I had done. And while I planned to eventually do another. Lisa had requested one for her personal collection and it really accelerated the process. So, Yay Lisa! Because, this might be my favorite bag.

I am so happy she sent me these photos tonight. I Love seeing my clutches in use and being enjoyed. Makes my heart all a flutter.

Check out Lisa rocking her clutch at Easter brunch, looking gorgeous! (Peep the nail polish! Love it.)

AND, of course… Get your own in the shop! Black and White Striped zipper clutch on Etsy.

weekly iphone photo review.

It was another great week. But, I’m really feeling like they are FLYING by. Not sure I like that. Life is pretty nice right now. I so badly want it to last.

I drank tasty iced, chocolatey beverages. I watched the San Jose Sharks STOMP the LA Kings! in FANTASTIC seats. I ate toaster strudel :) Made a pretty little line of Doily clutches. Took a walk in my ‘hood. Swooned over glittery thread <3 Made a TEA tote! Swam in my pool! Ate delicious Thai food. Bought A LOT of duck canvas, so much that I got to take the whole bolt. Made an AMAZING black and white striped zipper clutch that I LOVE. Started sanding my side table so I can paint it this week. Spent some much needed and long awaited time with Baby Jacob <3 That face kills me. Seriously. Look. at. the. cheeks.

Goodbye Sunday. On to a fresh new week!
