Long beautiful Hair. Shining, gleaming, streaming, flaxen, waxen…
“Flow it. Show it. Long as God can grow it my Hair.”
If you enjoy figure skating at all, THIS is absolutely one of my favorite routines by Scott Hamilton (those backflips!) Also, first place I heard that song.
Also, I REALLY want to go ice skating.
It was another gorgeous day here in the Bay area! I rolled out for my almost daily post office and errands run in a tank top and some shorter shorts than normal (for me lately at least). The tan I have been working on is giving me a little boost in confidence in regards to my body. I’m probably at my heaviest right now, but something about some color on the leggies really slims you. Or I’m delusional. Either way, I like it!
Top: Forever 21
Jean cut off shorts: Another pair of Jeremy’s old jeans I cut. I have a lot.

I am really LOVING my hair lately. In these pictures it’s about 3-4 days unwashed. I only wash my hair twice a week. A little dirt in the hair is the best! I Love the randomness of my uneven lengths. And the blonde color I am currently sporting. I feel really Summery, and California! I LOVE my stylist. She is amazing! I am lucky enough to also call her my friend. But, she is great. If I give her free reign to do whatever, it comes out amazing. If I suggest something, she’ll offer suggestions, work and viola! I feel very lucky to have the relationship I do have with such a talented and creative hair dresser. I also feel very lucky to get appointments period with such a busy, hard working hair dresser!!!
Today I worked on some bag orders and should be finishing them all up tomorrow to get sent out in the evening. I got a rush order just before dinner time that I was able to get all the fabric cut and prepped and ready to work on tomorrow. I am finding more and more just how much more productive I am in the evening. I need to start chugging coffee in the morning I guess. Or get a secluded ground floor studio so I can work reallllly late into the night. For now, coffee it is! and maybe a better alarm clock…
I’m on a rock!
I had wayyyyy too much fun taking a few outfit photos today. I love this particular photo spot and I loved my outfit today, so I really went all out. Sorry for the over load of photos!
I LOVE this place. It is a church across the street from the post office near my house. I stop here just about every time I am making a run to ship out some bags. It’s a gorgeous spot, especially on a day like today. It’s also super secluded during the week before 5pm (there is soccer practice in the evenings). No one is ever back here and I love to come hide out to take a few outfit photos from time to time. There are redwoods and random boulders lining the edge of this grass field. Today I opted to take advantage and use them as props
Today I felt an itch to get a tiny bit gussied up. I usually dress pretty frumpy, and I think it’s affecting my mood in life. Today I put on a floral skirt and I was instantly happy! Also, I got a bit of a tan started over the weekend so I was ready to bare my legs in the sunshine.

Awww, look at my purty clutch. Doesn’t she look lovely among the nature? I think so. <3
Keepin’ it simple.
I wore this out to the Post office and to run some errands yesterday. My hair is a bit of a mess. I had straightened it on Easter Sunday, but ended up throwing it up into a bun later in the day, as I always do. It ends up creased and kind of wild. Sometimes I can pass it off as wavy. But, looking back at these pics, I probably should have left it up. haha! oh well.

I Love these Gold Kimchi and Blue bow flats. I really wish I could get another pair. They are getting pretty ratty. I have had them for years. I scored them for $4.99 when I worked at Urban Outfitters. I miss getting first dibs on deep deep discounted items found hidden behind shelves and storage. That was one the greatest perks. I scored a lot of great stuff for super cheap working there.
weekly iphone photo review.
It was another great week. But, I’m really feeling like they are FLYING by. Not sure I like that. Life is pretty nice right now. I so badly want it to last.
I drank tasty iced, chocolatey beverages. I watched the San Jose Sharks STOMP the LA Kings! in FANTASTIC seats. I ate toaster strudel
Made a pretty little line of Doily clutches. Took a walk in my ‘hood. Swooned over glittery thread <3 Made a TEA tote! Swam in my pool! Ate delicious Thai food. Bought A LOT of duck canvas, so much that I got to take the whole bolt. Made an AMAZING black and white striped zipper clutch that I LOVE. Started sanding my side table so I can paint it this week. Spent some much needed and long awaited time with Baby Jacob <3 That face kills me. Seriously. Look. at. the. cheeks.
Goodbye Sunday. On to a fresh new week!
Granny chic.
This might be my favorite outfit. Kinda boring, I suppose. But this is my ideal outfit for everyday. Especially with the weather we are having right now. Gorgeous and sunny with a breeze. I cut a pair of old Navy skinnies that I didn’t really like as jeans. Viola! My new favorite shorts! And, of course I wanted to carry one of my new Doily Clutches. I chose the Grey! Because, it’s my personal favorite. It’s a little granny chic, so I’m rocking a bit of a granny updo. Keeping it consistent… maybe?

A Monday outfit.
Nothing special, but I went out today to run a few errands in between working on some things here. I have been carrying the new Houndstooth clutch (Houndstooth clutch V2) the past couple days and I love it. I love larger clutches. My sister actually chose the measurements for this clutch while explaining her ideal clutch. So, Thank you, Sarah! It really is the perfect size.

I am getting a lot of work done today. Getting a lot ready for a big trip to the Post Office tomorrow morning. Guess what? I hate the Post Office. So the least time I can spend there, the better. I am really hoping to make enough money soon to buy my little business here a printer and a scale, so I can eventually eliminate the trips to the Post Office! Can’t wait! That means lower shipping prices too
AND tonight I get to go to the Shark tank to watch the San Jose Sharks vs. LA Kings! Can’t wait for this game!
Hope your Monday is as fantastic as mine is!

So, thanks to CBS.com I was able to watch Fashion’s Night Out, The Show live streaming online yesterday! I was pretty stoked.

I wasn’t really to keen on many on the Pure at Heart looks. I can’t say why really. I didn’t hate any of them, but nothing really stood out to me above the rest other than the complete Marni look. Maybe, I am just not in the mood for the pureness of it all right now.

Peek-A-Boo
I’m really into sheer clothing at the moment. I Love the a little hint of something that looks like it should otherwise be covered, if not for a sheer piece of fabric.
Some Spring 2010 runway looks:
Left to Right: Chanel, Giancarle Ferre, and Roksanda Ilincic.
And, a few looks from Charlotte Ronson’s Spring 2010 Ready to Wear show (I LOVE IT):
Some fun pieces:
kelly bergin chiffon pocket t-shirt at OAKNYC.
LNA Lace Deep V Lace Top at ASOS.
Sleeveless Sheer Back Zip Dress at YESSTYLE
And some items I intend on acquiring (at least something similar to):
Asos Mesh Insert Leggings at ASOS.
(I NEED these! Sadly standard sizes are sold out, and petite is all that left, wtf)
Sheer Mesh cycling shorts at ASOS, And Sparkle and Fade lace biker shorts from Urban Outfitters, however no longer available. I’m on the hunt for something similar…
Unisex Oversized Ringer See Thru shirt at American Apparel.
Sky high!
I bought these taupe suede Barney New York wedges last year. They are the highest shoes I own. I may hurt something wearing them. I still have not yet worn them out of the house. I tried them on while having a fashion show in my bedroom the other night, and got really anxious get them on the town asap. I am so happy the weather is letting up and getting nicer. Time for Spring and Summer shoes!
